Estrella Creek Wines / 4M Vineyard is located in the northern scenic foothills of the Paso Robles appellation where the unique microclimate of hot days (100+ degrees) and cool nights (50 deg. night-time drop) produces big, full-bodied red wines.

Family owned and operated 4M Vineyards are located in the scenic northern foothills of the Paso Robles appellation. Located 17 miles north east of downtown Paso Robles, their 40-acre ranch has been the Mays family home for over 30 years. They named their 4M Vineyard after the four members of Mays Family, Peter, Beverly, Marlon and Marc.

Planting 10-acres of Syrah and Petite Sirah in 2001, they originally started their vineyard with the intention of selling fruit to discriminating wineries requiring grapes of the highest standards. Realizing they were expending countless hours nurturing their vines to produce exceptional fruit, they decided to create their own Estrella Creek wine label and bottle their efforts in the vineyard to share them with friends, family and anyone who appreciates wines hand-crafted from fruit grown with the utmost care and attention.

The hot summer days, with temperatures reaching into the low 100’s, are cooled nightly by the gentle winds blowing off the Salinas River Valley, dropping the evening temperatures into the low 50’s. The night time temperature drop allows the fruit to rest before another day of growing.

In 2008, they grafted an acre of Viognier, a white Rhone varietal, onto existing Syrah rootstock. Grafting, versus planting, enabled them to harvest their first Viognier in 2009 released in November 2010.

They continually nurture their vines through shoot and cluster thinning to yield 2-3 tons/acre. Because of their very warm and sunny growing season, they limit leaf pulling to protect the grapes. With their very manageable number of vines, they can assure that each vine is evaluated every year by a family member

The cost is $55++ per person.

Seating is limited. Please RSVP at 310.536.0730.
