24th King Harbor Boat Parade : Saturday, December 12, 2015 - 3:30 PM

In its 24th year this annual event harnesses the joy of the holiday season with its festive lights that always entertain the crowd. Our Grand Marshall this year is Denise Ausitn – fitness trailblazer. Our theme “Tropical Holidays” is sure to inspire creative entries for the boats and SUP/paddlecraft as they compete for one various awards.

The SUPs (stand-up paddle boards) will be on the water at 4:30pm followed by the boats and outrigger canoes lighting up the water at 5:30pm.

Public access is from several locations off of Harbor Drive. Best public venues to watch the boat parade are as follows:

King Harbor Marina/Moonstone Park - Enjoy FREE bleacher seating provided by Bay Club. Seating is first come first serve. Starting at 3:30 PM and foodtrucks will be selling delectable treats. Gain entry from Marina Way.

Redondo Beach Marina Sportfishing Pier – Gain entry from the Redondo Beach Marina parking lot.

Portofino Hotel and Marina/ Sea Wall – View the parade from the comfort of the Portofino Lobby Lounge. There is outdoor viewing along the Sea Wall. Gain entry from Portofino Way.

Seaside Lagoon Sea Wall – Plenty of excellent viewing as the boats turn in the basin. Gain entry from the Redondo Beach Marina parking lot.

Local Restaurants – Local restaurants that offer excellent views are Joe’s Crab Shack, On the Rocks, R-10, Ruby’s Diner and Sambas.
