The Samburu Project's 7th Annual Walk for Water & Pancake Breakfast: Sunday, April 17, 2016 - 8:00am-11:00am
Presented By: The Samburu Project

The Samburu Project’s Walk for Water is a 4-mile walk (or run, bike or scoot!) along the beautiful and famous oceanside strand in Hermosa Beach, California. The event culminates with a delicious pancake breakfast and raffle at American Junkie Restaurant.

If you can’t make it to Hermosa Beach on April 17th, we are not leaving you out. You can Walk Virtually from ANYWHERE in the world!

The Walk is a fun, family oriented event that raises awareness about the world water crisis and funds the drilling of water wells. The first Walk took place in 2009 and has become a favorite activity of Los Angeles’ South Bay. Families, young adults, service clubs, students and local business teams all participate to support our efforts to provide easy access to clean, safe drinking water to communities throughout Samburu, Kenya.

The Samburu people in northern Kenya do not have access to clean, safe drinking water. Women and girls often walk up to 12 miles a day in search of water. The Samburu Project offers a simple solution to an extraordinary problem by providing easy access to water to these communities through our well drilling initiatives. Since its inception in 2005, The Samburu Project has drilled 83 wells bringing clean, safe drinking water to over 80,000 people!
