DON'T MISS THE NOVEMBER 4TH EDITION OF FIRST THURSDAYS IN HERMOSA BEACH!

Take a stroll down the newly removated Pier Avenue this Thursday from 5:00 - 9:00 pm and re-introduce yourself to downtown Hermosa Beach. During First Thursdays participating downtown businesses will feature discounts, live music, free nibbles, and other cool stuff.




Swell Magnet Surf Forecast

Thursdaymorning the swell will start a slow, methodical fade through the day, but the exposed West facing spots will remain overhead to well overhead. The tides are extremely high in the AM and the conditions look flawless all day long. It could be all time, if you put yourself at the right place at the right time!

Friday morning the swell will continue to back down. The drop in size and consistency, coupled with a monster high tide of 6.84 feet at 8:42AM will really slow things down for the majority of spots. The tide will recede at a river like pace into the afternoon, and at some point should reveal chest to head high sets for the top spots. There should be a few windows of opportunity throughout the day, but timing will be of the essence, if you want to actually score some decent waves.

Saturday morning might be okay on the right tide. The previous swell will be all but history, but some new NW energy is due to fill in through the day. The best spots should see shoulder to head high surf as the tide recedes.

Sunday morning looks like a comparatively, small day, as the NW swell dips into the chest to shoulder high range. Once again, a brutally high tide will sucker punch, most all spots, clocking in at 6.79 feet just before 9AM. If you can maneuver around the high tide, you may be able to salvage the day with some leftovers.

The Current Water Temps are as follows - Newport 65 degrees, Huntington 66 degrees, the South Bay showed as 65 degrees, Santa Monica 62 degrees and Malibu 61 degrees.

Although originally released in 2000, the single became popular after the events of September 11, 2001, which shone new light on Five for Fighting's tale of flight, insecurity, and heroics

Singer/songwriter John Ondrasik (On drah sick) has spent the past decade writing deeply personal songs that include social messages, invoke the human spirit and make an emotional connection. This can be heard on the past four albums by Five For Fighting, the band name under which he records and performs.

First Thurdays Hermosa Beach: Thursday, November 4, 2010 - 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
