DON'T MISS THE 1ST ANNUAL HOLIDAY SIDEWALK FESTIVAL IN HERMOSA BEACH THIS SATURDAY!

Come on out and re-introduce yourself to local businesses as the city of Hermosa Beach commemorates Pier Avenue construction with its first Holiday Sidewalk Festival.

Swell Magnet Surf Forecast

Thursday looks a little smaller with dropping, steeply angled, medium interval, NW swell, mixing in with locally generated NW wind swell. The better West facing spots may have some nice peaks bouncing around, and with better weather moving in, it should be a great day to hit the water.

Friday definitely holds some potential for the most exposed West facing breaks as some medium interval energy comes down the line at a steep 300-310 degrees. This will bend into a few of the deep water spots, but pass on by anything that lacks the Westerly exposure.

Saturday looks smaller, but the best West facing breaks should still dish up some fun, waist to chest high sets. The conditions look fantastic with NNE winds at 6-9 MPH early and those will taper off around noon but the sea surface will remain fairly clean all day long. Look for a high of 74 degrees.

Sunday looks similar, with waist to chest high surf at exposed breaks and another day of high pressure fall weather.

The Current Water Temps are as follows - Newport 56 degrees, Huntington 58 degrees, the South Bay showed as 56 degrees, Santa Monica 59degrees and Malibu 57 degrees.

This is M.D., the Surf Dr., delivering more hollow promises.

South Bay Events is proud to select one of the greatest landmark diners west of Hawthorne and South of LAX for our November Restaurant of the Month. Whether you’re sitting on a bench, stool, or chair, the atmosphere inside Eat at Joe’s always feels like family. Located on the corner of Pacific Coast Highway & Carnelian Street, this Redondo Beach cultural icon prides itself on an amiable staff that makes your dining experience down-home and worthwhile. The staff at Joe’s blend well with the patrons as it’s not un-common to hear diners and waiters greet each other the way old friends do. The personality of Joe’s sets the table for an amazing spread of classic American diner food that aims to please.

While making an order at Joe’s be sure to look up and locate one of the rectangular whiteboards that list “Today’s Specials.” Here you can often find rib-sticking meals like Pot Roast, Chicken Chile Verde Omelet, or fresh tamales. Be aware that breakfast is served all day at Joe’s and that’s a good thing because breakfast is the most important meal of the day. READ MORE about SBE's Restaurant of the Month!
