Swell Magnet Surf Forecast

Thursday looks to be a little better as the most exposed West facing breaks see a slight bump in NW wind swell. Nothing to get real excited about, but during the right tide, there should be some waist to chest high waves for the standout beaches.

Friday the surf will already be on a downward spiral. The best spots will see waist high plus wind swell and a monstrous morning high tide will, once again, rain on what's left of the parade. Plan your surf times accordingly.

Saturday is looking pretty small everywhere. We'll have some tiny, NW wind swell and a few small blips out of the SW, but don't expect much more than knee to waist high surf at best. Gigantic high tides will, once again, drown out any really shot at a morning session, but if you can tip toe around the tides, you may be able to pick up a few table scraps.

Sunday we're not anticipating any monumental changes. Same deal...high tides, small surf and freezing water temps. The conditions may become a little more unruly later in the day, but morning breezes will continue to blow out of the NNE at 6-8 MPH,and then go S/SE at 10-12 MPH in the afternoon. We have a 30% chance of rain as a little front moves in. We'll see an air temp of 62 degrees.

The Current Water Temps are as follows - Newport 50 degrees, Huntington 54 degrees, the South Bay showed as 51 degrees, Santa Monica 51 degrees and Malibu 49 degrees.
