Volunteer Experiences, a non profit corporation (VE), invites you to attend the 4th Annual "Rebuild & Rock" Volunteer Event
April 29 – May 2, 2010 in New Orleans, LA!This is a group volunteer experience building homes devastated by hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, LA with Habitat for Humanity and experiencing the unique culture of the city.
The purpose for this trip is two fold:
1) Help Build Homes: With just one day of volunteering for Habitat for Humanity in New Orleans you can help give a family who lost their home to Hurricane Katrina a brand new start!
2) Learn about New Orleans: Enjoy Jazz Fest and the unique culture of New Orleans.

Jon Lovitz @ Comedy and Magic Club: Thursday, February 18, 2010 - 8:00 p.m.

Jon Lovitz is a famous comedian and actor, a tubby white guy with a nasal, whining voice. His father had always dreamed of a career singing opera, but regretted never pursuing it. He encouraged Jon to pursue whatever career interested him. The young Lovitz broke into comedy in 1982 with the Groundlings improv troupe in Los Angeles, and met Phil Hartman there in 1984. They became fast friends, and when Lovitz was hired for Saturday Night Live, he nagged producer Lorne Michaels to give Hartman an audition, too.
Jon Lovitz has supplied voice acting talent in several animated series including the lead character of Jay Sherman on The Critic, and animated movies. One of his most notable SNL characters was "Tommy Flanagan, The Pathological Liar" that generated the catch phrase, "Oh Yeah! That's the ticket!" Some of his other recurring characters included Master Thespian, Tonto, Satan, Hanukkah Harry and Michael Dukakis. Lovitz succeeded Phil Hartman on the comedy series NewsRadio following Hartman's death.
