6-Man Weekend Crazier Than Ever!!
Well, the 6-man volleyball tournament went off as usual! The pool of teams is getting bigger each year and the level of play is out of control. Team members camped out on the MB pier from midnight on Thursdsay before the tourney to secure a prime location for their tent and base camp. SBE's own Eric played on Team Lushness, who put up a noble effort and nearly advanced to the playoffs. We have loaded up an entire 6-man photo gallery- check out the Photo Gallery. If you're interested in getting a team together for next year, plan well in advance and check out South Bay Events for frequent advice and updates. |

The Fabulous Thunderbirds
You know that song "Tough Enough" that they always play at stadiums? Those guys (called the Fabulous Thunderbirds) are coming to Brixton on the Redondo Beach Pier on Thursday, August 14! They actually have many more hits than just that song, and they're a pretty big name to play here in the South Bay. For classic rock lovers, this is going to be one of the biggest shows of the year. For those of you wo have yet to check out Brixton (formerly known as Harvelle's), it's a nice, underground club right on the water. Mix it up a bit: show starts at 9:00. Click here for more info....
