Manhattan Beach (MB) Resident Kathleen Paralusz is running for a seat on the MB City Council on March 3, 2009.

As an active public servant and community volunteer in Manhattan Beach, Kathleen has served in such civic roles as current Planning Commissioner (Commercial/Residential Development) and Vice President, Leadership Manhattan Beach (LMB), former Parking and Public Improvements Commissioner (Neighborhood Traffic Concerns), Parks and Recreation Commissioner (Dog Runs), and Measure BB Bond Oversight Committee.

As a community volunteer and City Commissioner, I’ve worked hard to protect our small town culture and resolve resident concerns,” says Kathleen. “As a member of City Council, I will work with fellow Council members to address our city’s challenges, focusing on issues that matter most to our community.” Kathleen Paralusz is Senior Counsel with Northrop Grumman Corporation. She has 15 years of public policy and legal work in both public and private sectors. She resides in Manhattan Beach with her husband, Brad Jacobson, a Board of Director Member of the MB Chamber of Commerce, and founder of the organization, Civic Couch.
