Alpine Village Christmas Faire Returns

(Below information provided by press release from Alpine Village.)

On Saturday December 5 Alpine Village opened its second annual Christmas Fair – a fun-packed holiday festival inspired by the famous Nuremberg Christkindlsmarkt. In 2014, Alpine Village debuted its first Christmas Faire with five times as many guests as expected to see Santa Claus, play in the snow and shop for gifts. Back by popular demand, the faire will run the first three weekends in December through Sunday, December 20, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM each night.

This time of year at Alpine Village brings cheer, good food and shopping – with a distinct German feel. From Alpine Village’s housemade batch of Gluhwein (mulled wine) at the Restaurant to hard-to-find European sweet treats, there are goodies to delight all guests. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Christmas Faire if without a selection of holiday gift items from stall vendors and Alpine Village’s resident shops for patrons to peruse.

Most widely known for hosting Oktoberfest every year, Alpine Village management hopes to make Christmas Faire its second marquis annual event. The plan is to grow the event organically on a local level. General Manager, Otto Radtke explains “Christmas is, first and foremost, about community and we seek to create that magical blend of excitement and tradition that brings the season to life. We’re working to involve as many community groups in our program as we can and we’re excited to involve the Narbonne High Key Club and other performing groups from local schools and churches to the Christmas Faire this year.”

Christmas Faire features many free or inexpensive activities that the whole family can enjoy, and for just $5 per child, kids 12 and under can access all of the popular attractions.

FREE Activities open to the public:
• Live music in front of the Market

• Access to all shopping areas

Only $5 for Kids 12 an under:
