South Bay Weekend: Cooling Centers, Nelson’s at Terranea, dineLA, RUHS Football Booster, Sandcastle Day, Pig Roast, Concert at Columbia Park, MB Parks & Rec 75th Anniversary, Acoustic Sundays & More
A little high-pressure heat curls its way into another South Bay Weekend and no one should be the least bit surprised as late summer high temps were the norm last August through October and seem to be a weathering hallmark of future South Bay summers. At the beginning of June Los Angeles County issued a list of community cooling centers; some locations are in the South Bay and could provide a nice respite for those not equipped with air conditioning.
Here’s an upscale heat hack that feels like a vacation: Like a Spanish Manor guarding secret treasure, Terranea Resort sits atop an ocean vista that’s absolutely astonishing, encompassing a swath of real estate that has some of Southern California’s last remaining sea-side panoramas yet to be obstructed by crowds, commercialism, or cars. One of the most underrated and unique experiences in the South Bay, is the summer concert Series at Nelson’s at Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes.
Below are a list of South Bay Events happening this weekend.
DineLA Week Summer Return The widely-popular, twice-yearly program presented by the L.A. With lunch menus ranging from $15 to $25 and dinner menus ranging from $30 to $50, you are sure to get great value at low risk. blog
