14TH ANNUAL DIVE N' SURFREDONDO BEACH LOBSTERFEST: FRIDAY 9/25- SUNDAY 9/27

The 14th Annual Dive N Surf Redondo Beach Lobster Festival is almost here!

The most anticipated event of the South Bay will open their gates on Friday, September 25 at the Seaside Lagoon in Redondo Beach. The 3-day extravaganza features live bands, a delicious variety of food vendors, Body Glove Wake Shows and fresh Main lobster.

Plus, for the first time ever, we will debut the Tommy Bahama Barfeoot Casino on Saturday and close the event with Aloha Sunday! For more information including festival hours and to purchase tickets, visit www.lobsterfestival.com.

 

 

YOUNG DUBLINERS @ SAINT ROCKE: FRIDAY, SEP. 25

 

The famous Celtic rock group, the Young Dubliners, will be making an appearance at Saint Rocke this weekend! Celtic Rock is defined as "the fusion of Irish traditional instruments and music with modern rock". They have released eight albums - Rocky Road, Breathe, Alive Alive’O, Red, Absolutely, Real World, With All Due Respect - The Irish Sessions and Saints and Sinners. They have toured the United States and Europe since 1994, and have supported Jethro Tull, John Hyatt, Chris Isaak, Jonny Lang, Great Big Sea, and Collective Soul. All Music.com states, “Their live shows (have) a jam-like appeal, similar to the vibes of Phish and the Dave Matthews Band.”

South Bay Events is giving away a pair of tickets to the show, as well as 2 pairs of tickets to the David Ryan Harris show on Thursday! Harris regularly plays with John Mayer, among others, and has been called a "musical genius". Head over to the site to get your tickets!

Old Venice Manhattan Beach


Manhattan Beach's Greek and Italian restaurant, Old Venice, is our winner of the Restaurant of the Month award! Located in the heart of downtown Manhattan Beach, Old Venice has overcome a tragic fire in 2006 that completely destroyed the restaurant, as well as the passing of its owner in 2008. The venue is completely rebuilt and remodeled, and is filling up nightly. This local favorite is being revisited by longtime loyal customers as well as a new batch of visitors to the South Bay.

Cruise by and try a Gyro, Pita, Greek Salad or even share a New York-style pizza any night of the week. The menu is absolutely huge, and the wine and beer list is equally long. Bring a group or a date to this family restaurant, located only a block from the Pacific Ocean.
