Event Description

A self-drive tour of 9 drought tolerant gardens located in the cities of Redondo Beach, Torrance, Gardena and Hawthorne (6 private homes, to wild areas and one park). Docents on hand to answer questions. Pack a lunch, and eat it in one of the gardens. Attractive and creative gardens - learn about rain gardens, rain catchment systems, Mason Bee house, aeroponics verticle gardens, pondless waterfalls and biophilic communities. Ticket funds will be donated to The Gardena Willows Wetlands Preserve (on the tour).
